Only this time, your partners have inherited some of the stats of their "parents", meaning that they are stronger. That means exactly what you think it does after a certain time has passed (2-3 in-game weeks for my first generation), your partners die, and you will have to start all over again. Now, you may have noticed that I said "first generation". In short: Don't expect to use your favourite digimon anytime soon. You want a Lilymon as partner? Well, you might end up with Nanimon on your first generation. I wanted a sea snake, I got a nine-tailed fox. Want to know what I ended up with? A Kyuubimon. Now, here's something that might put you off: You don't get to choose which digivolution you get, at least not until a fair bit later. When certain stats reach a certain level, there's a chance you'll digivolve. In order to train your digimon, you don't necessarily go out fighting other digimon, but you visit the gym, where you choose which stats you want to improve.
One of the partners I chose, was Bukamon, because I love Seadramon and wanted to see if I could get one through Bukamon.
These will be your partners for the first part of the game. Instead of giving you a simple yes/no, I'm going to go through the game's mechanics:Īt the start of the game, you choose two digieggs from 10-12 (can't say that I've counted). It's way different from every other RPG I've played.
